Executive Manager IT Systems
David Whitfield’s focus is looking after the information technology (IT) team and ensuring everyone can perform their jobs without IT issues. Making sure people have the IT tools they need to ensure Terra Cat’s continued growth and success is also part of David’s role. He’s based in Christchurch and started with us in July 2015.
Before that, David was IT Manager for Hertz Asia Pacific. David started his IT career at Databank Systems and has 42 years of experience in various IT roles.
David’s responsibilities at Terra include:
Ensuring Terra Cat has a stable, motivated, engaged and aligned IT team
Continuous improvement of IT infrastructure and applications to deliver simplicity, and ensure it is fit for purpose to support Terra Cat’s strategic plan
Business risk mitigation and IT strategy
Outside work, while fuel is still available for the internal combustion engine, David heads off on adventures riding his motorcycles and driving old cars.
